WHAT:
Greenleaf Job Training Services will celebrate Disability Pride Month and the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by hosting its Alumni Network Disability Pride Party, bringing together Greenleaf alumni, supporters, and community members for an evening of celebration, education, and connection.
The event will feature:
- Opportunities to learn more about the disability rights movement and the lasting impact of the ADA
- Networking with Greenleaf alumni
- An educational movie screening (Crip Camp)
- A hands-on DIY Slime Bar hosted by Lemonade Gifts
Greenleaf alumni will be available for media interviews to share how meaningful employment, community support, and disability inclusion have shaped their lives and helped them achieve greater independence.

WHY IT MATTERS:
July marks Disability Pride Month, commemorating the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), landmark civil rights legislation signed into law on July 26, 1990. This year marks the 36th anniversary of the ADA, which has helped expand access, opportunity, and inclusion for millions of Americans with disabilities.
Through employment services and ongoing support, Greenleaf Job Training Services helps individuals with disabilities build meaningful careers, achieve greater independence, and contribute their talents to the workforce. The Disability Pride Party celebrates those achievements while raising awareness of the continuing importance of disability inclusion and equal opportunity.
